The Northern Ligths, also known as Aurora Borealis, are a result of interactions between the Earth's magnetic field and charged patricles from the Sun.

The Northern Lights predominantly occur in the high-latitude regions near the North Pole. In February 2023 the intensity of Aurora was so strong that it could be photographed even in Poland.

The Norther Lights usually appear as shimmering curtains or ribbons of light in the night sky. The color are predominantly green, but they can also includes shades of red, yellow, blue and purple. The specifics color depend on the type of gas particles involved in the interaction and the altitude at which it occurs.
