The California Nebula, also known as NGC 1499, is a large emission nebula located in the constellation Perseus. It is named after its resemblance to the shape of the U.S. state of California.

The Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters, is an open star cluster located in the constellation of Taurus. It is one of the closest star clusters to Earth. The Pleiades is visible to the naked eye and consists of several bright, hot, and young stars surrounded by a faint reflection nebula.
