jul 7 - 14

Comet NEOWISE, officially known as C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE), was a bright comet that graced the skies in 2020. It was discovered on March 27, 2020, by NASA's Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE) space telescope.

NEOWISE became visible to the naked eye in early July 2020, after it survived its closest approach to the Sun, known as perihelion, on July 3. As it moved away from the Sun, the comet developed a prominent dust and gas tail, making it a stunning sight in the night sky.
