The Dumbbell Nebula

Throughout their lives, stars have a sequence of changes that we call stellar evolution. At the end of their lives, stars die in different ways depending on their mass. In this image, I captured the death of a star several times larger than the Sun, which, as a result of the collapse of its core, ejected a large amount of matter into space, which created a beautiful planetary nebula. Now this star is just a white dwarf and will continue to cool and shrink until the end of its life. It is the largest white dwarf ever discovered.
