The Heart Nebula, also known as IC 1805, is an emission nebula located in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is named the Heart Nebula due to its distinctive shape, which resembles a stylized heart when observed in certain orientations.

The nebula is located approximately 7,500 light-years away from Earth and is part of a larger star-forming complex known as the Cassiopeia Molecular Cloud. It spans an area of about 200 light-years across and is illuminated by a young, massive star cluster known as Melotte 15.
