Messier 13

The M13 star cluster is located in the constellation of Hercules and is about 25.000 light years away. A radio message was sent to this cluster in 1974 by the Arecibo radio telescope. This message was written in binary code and contained information about the appearance of the human, the structure of DNA, the number of people on Earth and the place of Earth in the solar system.
