The Pinwheel Galaxy, also known as Messier 101 or M101, is a spiral galaxy located about 21 million light-years away from Earth in the constellation Ursa Major. It is notable for its symmetrical spiral arms, which resemble the shape of a pinwheel, hence its name. The Pinwheel Galaxy is one of the largest and brightest spiral galaxies visible from Earth. It has a high rate of star formation and contains billions of stars, along with numerous star clusters and nebulae.
